The model of this painting ‘Kika and the bougainvillea’ is my lovely niece, Kika. I work from photo that I took from my phone camera as my references.
I did a total redesign from the original photo and hire back my live model. Fortunately my model are easy to hire and to work with. Ha ha ha … of course she’s my niece. Overall, the painting is done!
In this painting I also change my ‘Art works’ signature, so in the future I will use this sign for all my works. Because my previous signature was way too long.
Style and influences
This painting piece highly influenced by old master impressionist, romanticism and realism. Like John Singer Sargent, Rembrandt, William Adolphe Bouguereau, Renoir etc. In this painting I also influenced by most of nowadays contemporary artist.
Yeah! my painting style is a mix between realism, impressionism, romanticism expressionism. A chaotic style eh? Ya! because I grew in chaotic era in the world of fine art.
And as autodidact painter I learn from em all and put them all together in my art as my own expression. So the result is, I apply the accuracy of the object/figure from realism, scene from romanticism. Loose brush stroke everywhere from impressionism and expressionism and the rest is abstraction everywhere.
The point is, I always try to escape from pure realism and its not easy thing to do.
Okay beautiful peoples! I hope my piece of art can make your day full of inspiration
Thanks for stopping by, hope you enjoy my brush stroke
